A number of our Sliabh Beagh swimmers participated in the Leinster Graded gala at the NAC in Dublin on Sunday, October 26th.  This was the first gala of the season for some of the swimmers, and it was a great start! Most of the swimmers had substantial drops in their times, which is quite an achievement so early in the season.  We’ll be looking to work more on our starts and turns, but the strokes themselves looked really well, technically speaking.  It is really good to swim as many of the different events and strokes early on, in order to be able to track your progress throughout the season. Well done to all of those who participated! The results were as follows:

Daniel Madden: 100M Backstroke massive 18 sec PB, 50M Freestyle 10 sec PB.

Emily Madden: 100M Freestyle PB, 100 Butterfly PB.

Emma Mc Elvaney: 100M Freestyle PB, 100IM PB, 50M Breaststroke PB.

Ellen Mc Geough: 100M Freestyle PB, 100M Breaststroke.

Hazel mc Morrow: 100MFreestyle PB, 50M Breaststroke PB.

Cliona Sheridan: 100M Breaststroke PB, 100M Back PB, 50M Fly PB, 50M Free,

Emer Sheridan: 100M Breaststroke, 100 Back, 50 Free and 50 Fly.

Jamie Sheridan: 100IM PB, 100 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly.
