Thanks to Deirdre for the following report:  “Last Friday evening (1st June) Sliabh Beagh junior swimmers competed in the Division D Final of the Junior Aquasprint League at Armagh Leisure Centre.  And what a night it was.   Sliabh Beagh emerged as overall  winners  by 70 points with a Final Score Sliabh Beagh 335.5 points, City of Belfast 265.5 points, Kilkeel 236 points.   This fantastic result means that Sliabh Beagh will compete in Division C of the Aquasprint League next year.

Congratulations to all our junior swimmers who all swam brilliantly and showed great team spirit, you should be very proud of yourselves.

A massive big THANK YOU to all the senior club members and supporters who travelled to Armagh and gave great encouragement to the swimmers.  We are very pleased to announce that we WON the STAR SUPPORTER AWARD for the fantastic support we showed the team and the great effort that was made by everyone that came, such talent in fancy dress making…..  Colin you really should think about taking this up professionally and Orla we loved your make up!

Also to all the parents of swimmers who helped out on the night and a special thank you to Eamon, Sarah and Margo and thanks also to the Club’s main sponsor Barry Healy & Company for the magnificent support.

This Saturday 9th June 2012 swimming finishes up for the season.  All AquaSprints will have a FUN TRAINING SESSION from 5-6pm with food & refreshments afterwards from 6pm.  Could parents please bring sandwiches, buns etc… just like a home gala.
