Sliabh Beagh Attend Leinster Graded Gala

Twenty Sliabh Beagh swimmers attended the Leinster Graded Gala in the NAC on Sunday 26^th October. This was a great turn out for the club early in the season. Our swimmers competed along with some 600 other swimmers from across Leinster and other provinces in 50m and 100m across all strokes.  This Gala was a great opportunity for some swimmers new to competition to dip their toe in the competition pool and it was also an opportunity for some of the more experienced swimmers to test themselves over the shorter distances.  Congratulations to Colin Gorman who broke the minute in the 100 freestyle in a time of 58.95.  Also well done to

Aqua Sprint Gala

The Aquasprint gala season kicks off with an away Gala to Larne on Saturday the 15^th November.  The team sheet has been posted on the club noticeboard. Parents/guardians should check the sheet and sign off if their child is available/not available to swim. It is also very important to indicate if the swimmer and parent intend to travel on the bus organised by the coordinators. This information is needed to plan an appropriate size bus for the trip. There will be a nominal charge for swimmer and parent to go towards the cost of the bus, ten euro for swimmer and five euro for parent. Maximum twenty euro per family.

Ulster Short Course Championships

This gala takes place in Lisburn on 28^th November. Qualifying times are needed for this gala. Entries should be with at the gala secretary.

Leinster Distance Gala

This gala takes place in the NAC on Sunday 23^rd of November. It is aimed at senior and intermediate swimmers. No qualifying times are needed. Entries should be with the gala secretary by the 11^th November
