Leinster Long Course Open Championship.
Eight Sliabh Beagh Swimmers attended this gala on 19th and 20th March in the NAC. This was a good opportunity for swimmers to get in some Long Course race practice before the Ulster Age group championship next month. All swimmers were happy with their performance with five personal best times and four finalists. Well done to Leon Campbell who reached the final of the 100 free. Leon also broke the minute barrier in the 100free with a time of 59.02. Also well done to all other finalists John Donnolly 200IM, Jamie Sheridan 200 Fly and Shauna Mc Gahon who reached the final of the 200IM and 200 Fly. Shauna had a great swim in the 200 Fly final taking home a Bronze medal. Well done everyone.
Aquasprint Squad Away to Limavady:
The next swim off for the Aquasprint team takes place in limavady on 2nd April. Bus will leave Monaghan Leisure Centre at 2pm. Warm Up 4pm, Gala Starting 4.30pm. Successful Fundraising Cake Sale:
A big thank you to everyone who helped out at the recent very successful cake sale. Thanks to all those who baked, helped out on the day, donated prizes for the raffle. €1,304.70 Euro was raised. Well done everyone.
