Irish Minor Schools takes place in the National Aquatic Centre

A Fabulous day was had by our swimmers last weekend in Dublin at the Swim Ireland Irish Minor Schools.

Swimmers had to qualify to swim at this competition and competed against swimmers in their age group from across the country. Well done to the following.

  • Alannah McGahon – Scoil Naoimh Eanna, Killanny : Bronze 50m Backstroke  and Finalist in 50m Freestyle
  • Georgina Walker – Bunscoil Lughaidh Naofa, Carrickmacross : Bronze 50m Freestyle and Finalist 50m Breaststroke
  • Annie Carroll Scoil Eanna, Ballybay : 50m Breaststroke
  • Tadgh Lennon – Scoil Mhuire Na mBuachailli Castleblayney 50m  Backstroke
  • Rebekah Gillis – Aughnacloy Primary : Finalist in 50m Breaststroke and 50m Fly
  • Maddie SmithScoil Naoimh Eanna, Killanny : 100m IM and 50m Breaststroke
  • Darcy Walker – Bunscoil Lughaidh Naofa, Carrickmacross : 100m IM and 50m Breaststroke
  • Brion Sherry – Scoil Mhuire Na mBuachailli, Castleblayney: 50m Fly
  • Eanna Curran – Scoil Eanna, Ballybay : Finalist 50m Fly

This was a great experience for all our swimmers who did their club and school proud. All came home with personal best times, some made finals and others won medals. Most importantly they had a great day representing their schools and the Club.
