Last weekend Sliabh Beagh were once again on the road, this time for the Irish Summer National Championships 2022 in the National Aquatic Centre.
We had four swimmers qualify for various events in this meet. Darragh Hughes competed in 100Br, 50Fr, 100fly, 100fr, 200Br and
200IM. Adam Lynch competed in the 100fly, the 200fly and the 200IM. Maddie Smith swam in the 100Br and the 200Br while Sean Greenan took on the 50fr and 100fr events. Our swimmers were well prepared for this meet having continued to train under the watchful eye of Head Coach Pearse McGuigan during the summer months and they were ready for the challenge of swimming against Ireland’s top swimmers.
Our swimmers did themselves and their club proud with some really, great swims, personal best times and qualification for finals. Full report to follow next week but just to say a big well done to all four swimmers and to Pearse for all the hard work and dedication that was shown.
