Sliabh Beagh welcomed Belfast swimming Club, Olympia, to Monaghan on the 6th October for their second fixture in the PTL competition. This was the first time younger swimmers competed on their home turf and they did so with a great attitude, the older members gave them great encouragement and also acquitted themselves admirably. It was yet again a very close competition with Sliabh Beagh winning with a score of 588 to Olympia’s 556. There was a great competitive spirit in the pool as well as great sportsmanship between the two teams. Well done everybody a great result, that’s two from two now. Thanks to all the supporters who cheered on the team from the gallery. Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers who helped out and made the gala run so smoothly. A mention to the bakers and sandwich makers who have set a very high standard. Roll on the next PTL gala, go Sliabh Beagh.
