Last weekend over 2,000 children made their way to the National sports Campus to take part in the National Finals of the Community Games in Blanchardstown. The swimming finals took place in the National Aquatic Centre. For many this was their first time swimming in such an impressive venue.  The Sliabh Beagh swimmers representing their county were unperturbed with lots of personal best times, some finals and a silver medal.

Well done to the following:

Georgina Walker U10 Freestyle,Tadgh Lennon U10 Freestyle. Darragh Hughes U12 breastroke, Karyn Mc Conkey U12 freestyle, Patrick Gilmartin U12 freestyle. Tom Doherty U12 Backstroke. Matthew Mc Conkey U14 Breaststroke, Ruadhan Curran U14 Backstroke, Connor Curran U14 Butterfly.

Allison Gorman was the fastest qualifier for the U16 Butterfly final.  Allison swam an exciting race just finishing 0.02 off the leader to take a well deserved silver medal.

Well done everyone!
