The swimmers from Sliabh Beagh ASC created a little bit of club history on Saturday by winning Division Three and promotion in the Ulster Provincial Towns League (PTL) in their last league dual meet against East Cavan at the Coral LC in Monaghan.
This following away wins against Swim Belfast, Lecale & a tough home fixture against Dungannon during the September and October months ensuring Sliabh Beagh went 4-0 in their league fixtures and secured promotion to Division Two for the first time in their club
history.
Speaking on the team’s result on Saturday evening and winning the Division Three promotion, Head Coach Pearse McGuigan congratulated the Sliabh Beagh team of swimmers, coaches, parents and officials for this promising result that was four years in the making with a lot of graft and commitment since he arrived at the club and that there’s more to come in Division Two and beyond if the club wishes to commit to do so.
