Two swimmers from Sliabh Beagh Colin Gorman and Ciaran Deasy swam on the Ulster team at the InterProv Schools Championship in the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin last weekend. Both swimmers qualified to swim on the team earlier this year at the Ulster schools Championship held in Bangor. The competition brings together all four provinces where swimmers battle for the top three positions to gain points for their team. Colin swam in the 100 butterfly, the freestyle and medley relay and Ciaran swam in the 100 Backstroke and in the Freestyle and medley relay. Both boys did the business securing points for their team and helping the Ulster team to a comfortable victory. Well done Colin and Ciaran.
Members of Sliabh Beagh also swam in the schools teams earlier in the day. Leon Campbell, Danny Madden, James Campbell and Ruadhan Curren representing Our lady’s Castleblayney and Ellen Mc Geough, Hazel Mc Morrow, Sheenagh Mc Kenna and Katie Bowden represented St. Louis Secondary in Monaghan. Well done everyone.
