Sliabh Beagh  ASC seen 3 of their swimmers compete in this open Event and all did their club  and coaches proud in their results
First to compete was John Donnelly. John is one of the younger swimmers to qualify for this event and did not disappoint his coaches and club in his performance. John competed in The 50M breaststroke with a time of 32.56. A great start for our first swimmer.

On Friday the 7th we had one of our more experienced swimmers Peter O’Hara  starting the competition by taking part in the 100m free and and 50m fly. Peter showed great power and strength in both events and was indeed very happy with his results. Some great swimming from Peter.

John was back for his second swim in this competition the 100m breaststroke and did not disappoint  us by powering home in a time of 1.12.64 and securing a place in the Junior 18&under 100 breaststroke Final. A Brilliant achievement for this young swimmer and he showed great determination and swam a fantastic race obtaining a PB.

On the final day of the competition Sunday the 9th April we saw another strong swimmer  Ciarán Deasy  competing in the 50 backstroke and  he powered home with a time of 30.44. Ciarán didn’t have much time to rest after a fantastic swim as he to had to get back to take part in the 50 Free which took place directly after his backstroke and he did not disappoint with a  brilliant  fast swim  of 27.02!

John was back for his final swim in this competition and again he did not disappoint when he powered home in the 200 breaststroke with a time of  2.43.24!  Another great PB for John. With him just narrowly missing another final.
Great swimming was show by all 3 swimmers throughout the competition and indeed they did Sliabh Beagh ASC Proud.
