Ulster schools record falls

One of our Master swimmers set the schools senior record in 2003 in 100 Freestyle. At the time he took a record that stood for 12 years. Last Friday Paddy saw his 8 year old record fall.

So Paddy now has to focus his attention and considerable ability to achieve selection for the World Masters Championships in Italy in June 2012.
For the rest of our growing squad of developing swimmers the challenge now is for one of our younger male swimmers to set it as a goal for them to reclaim. On the female side there are a few records that need beating too and now is the time to set your sights on achieving these.

The club was represented last weekend in the Ulster Secondary Schools gala in Ballymena by the following swimmers: Oisin, Niamh and Orla Young, Nathan Shields, Caolan and Oran McGee, Jessica Donoghue, Sarah Nally, Eimear McKenna, Frances Treanor, Laura Sherlock, Colin Gorman, Emmett Campbell, Ciaran Hennessy, Ciaran O’Mordha, Niamh Collins, Louis and Kate Madden, Jamie Sheridan, Anna McCrarren and Shauna McGahon.
